The Aromatherapy Book
by Jeanne Rose
One of my favorite and most-used reference books. I like her personal stories about how she's used the oils, plus there is a lot of practical information that you won't find elsewhere.

375 Essential Oils and Hydrosols
by Jeanne Rose
Another excellent aromatherapy reference guide from this wonderful author! This one is more like a textbook, full of factual information about the history of fragrance, the biology of plants, and how essential oils are obtained. The section on hydrosols (the byproduct of distilling essential oils) is interesting, a topic rarely discussed in aromatherapy books.

Jeanne Rose: Herbal Body Book by Jeanne Rose
Not specifically an aromatherapy book, this one is full of creative ideas for making your own lotions, potions and other concoctions with herbs as well as essential oils.
